Visage Fashion Company is one of the many on-campus organizations that give life and creativity to the students of Georgia Southern University. According to the current President, Brandon Gardener, the main qualities they look for in their models is “confidence and attitude in their walk.” This fashion company brings together students of all ages and majors, some with little to no high fashion background, to put on events to showcase the talents of the individuals such as models, fashion designers, and hair and makeup artists that are involved in the organization. Gardener says that what makes this fashion company unique from other fashion or entertainment organizations on campus is that “everyone is able to creatively come together and make everything come to life without having the knowledge and education behind what they are doing.” Models such as Stevie Wright who has been a part of the organization for a year and a half, believes that elements like “getting on stage and preforming in front of people” has helped create a “different type and sense of confidence” within himself. In addition, although Visage Fashion Company is known for its phenomenal productions that never disappoint, he always appreciates the fact that he has a “family” within his organization and how it serves as an “outlet away from schoolwork.” Visage is currently working on the most anticipated production in February, their annual show, Language of Lingerie. This show will tap into the seductive side of the models and give the audience an arousing Valentine’s Day treat.
