As COVID-19 progresses, the governor of Georgia, Brian Kemp, has made the decision to open places of businesses back up.
The first thing that came to mind is that I can go to the nail shop and get my nails and toes done which made me extremely excited.
However, more open businesses mean more exposure to the virus which could then lead to more death.
Being an essential worker, I have been exposed more than the average person and with more places opening up, more people will be out and about, making them more inclined to stop at Lowes and come shop.
I do not believe that this was a smart idea because everyone has been talking about how the virus getting worse so how does it make sense to start over and expose everyone again.
The fact that social distancing is still in effect makes everything worse. How are people supposed to get a hair-cut from 6 feet? Or Get a pedicure from 6 feet away?
I understand opening the restaurants up because people were eating out regardless, me being one of those people, and it is easy to disinfect the tables when the party leaves.
However, more people are catching the virus and opening business that require the customer to be less than the accepted social distance will do more harm than good.
I believe that Kemp did this for money reasons without thinking about the negative effects on people’s health.
It says a lot if Trump disagrees with your decisions and even he does not think Kemp was smart with this decision.
