Quarantine as a Student

One of the biggest effects of my life during COVID-19 is the transition from in class to online courses.

Having to keep track of my work without any reminders can be challenging when I also have a very busy work schedule.

Although some has taken this time to get ahead and finish everything all at one time, a lot of the quizzes and other assignments in my courses do not open up until the day they are due.

What makes this situation worse is some professors are not understanding of everything that is going on.

They should understand that some people work better in a face to face environment so moving to online can be very difficult.

Due to the corona virus, my job has been very difficult causing me to have to go into work more often than usual. This then means I have a lot more to keep up with when it comes to school as well.

I believe that Georgia Southern should be on a pass or fail term, giving students an A or an F depending on how well they are doing in the class.

There are people who are really struggling with the transition, so the university should be doing everything in its power to make sure students are comfortable.

Although there are face to face Zoom meeting options available for classes, every professor is not taking advantage of it, so most classes are being taught completely online.

More can be and should be done to accommodate students and Georgia Southern needs to get to it.
