One of America’s favorite actors, Tom Hanks, has reportedly been diagnosed with the coronavirus.
I’ve grown up watching Hanks in some of my favorite movies, one being Toy Story and knowing that he is sick with this serious virus is heart breaking.
Cashmen Morrell agrees with me and points out that Hanks is also at a disadvantage because of his age.
“Forest Gump was one of my favorite movies growing up,” says Morrell. “The fact that he has this virus and he’s a part of the age group that has been effected the most is scary.”
Hanks made an Instagram post two days ago letting his fans know that he and his wife Rita Wilson have been feeling sick and decided to get tested for the virus. Unfortunately, their results came back positive.
Seeing someone that I personally look up to as an entertainer go through something like this breaks my heart because I know that he is trying to stay strong for his fans to keep them from worrying.
Like most of America, Shamaudie McClendon is hoping for the best for the amazing actor.
“We’ve already lost so many legends this year,” says McClendon. “I pray that Tom can stay strong so we don’t lose another one.”
Hank and his wife are continuing to keep fans updated on their conditions through social media making sure everyone knows that they are okay.
Honestly, I think the only thing we can do is stay positive and keep ourselves safe as well.
